Community Science Alliance

Advancing the science and practice of contextually appropriate and evidence-based primary care for resource-poor settings in India

Overview

Community Science Alliance (CSA) is a partnership of community health organizations, clinicians, and researchers advancing the science and practice of contextually relevant evidence-based medicine in resource constrained settings.

The CSA was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the Swasth Alliance, when we created a suite of evidence-based clinical pathways for COVID-19 care in rural and tribal communities in India. [Learn more]

The CSA is now an initiative of Social Alpha’s Health & Wellness Architecture, building on our focus on Primary Healthcare.

Key Focus Areas

The CSA will leverage contextually relevant task-shifting, training, and technology to advance care delivery and access through strategic investments and innovations in processes, pedagogy, and infrastructure.

The CSA’s programs are focussed on three related levers of change-

01

Clinical Care Pathways

We create streamlined, actionable, validated and contextually appropriate clinical care pathways to deliver quality care in resource-limited settings

02

Fellowship

We train medical fellows to become life-long practitioners and advocates of evidence-based primary care

03

Innovation

We develop, pilot, and scale meaningful digital health technologies to purposefully address clinical and population health needs among the most underserved
